Matt Best: Entrepreneur Coach

BestportraitEvery now and then you meet someone and you like them right away. I recently met an Entrepreneur Coach named Matthew Best. Matt spent several years working as a lobbyist at the federal and state levels. A few years ago he transitioned into working as a coach in the business sector. We met to talk about coaching and leadership and we had a great time getting to know one another and swapping "best ideas."

Matt describes himself as an Entrepreneur Coach because he likes to help entrepreneurs figure out where they are going and how they are going to get there. Matt has a simple and very cool mission statement.

"I exist to serve by unleashing courage."

Matt's passion is to come alongside others and walk them into their future by unleashing courage in their life.

Matt's company is BEST Solutions and his website is SomedayIsland.com

In his spare time, Matt is a "hobbyist marathoner!" (I think that means he is only crazy as a hobby and not as a career!)

Oh yes, Matt also has one of the coolest business cards I've seen in a long time!

  • The Derek Trucks Band -

The Derek Trucks Band: Live at Georgia Theatre
One of the upcoming (no he has already completely arrived on the scene) blues/jazz guitarists of today. With a very sweet band and this one is live.

  • Paul Gilbert -

    Paul Gilbert: United States
Another one of my fave guitar avatars.

  • Steve Hackett -

    Steve Hackett: Please Don't Touch!
    See note below.

  • Steve Hackett -

Steve Hackett: Voyage of the Acolyte
I've been wanting to listen to some music by Steve Hackett for some time, so I got this CD and the other one.

  • Brian Setzer -

    Brian Setzer: 13
Another one of my fave guitar slingers. I have most of his CDs but this one escaped my notice.

  • Los Lonely Boys -

    Los Lonely Boys: Forgiven
I love these Texicana rockers and this is their latest CD. Unfortunately I didn't get the one that had the extra two tracks on it.

  • Kid Rock -

Kid Rock: Rock n Roll Jesus
    Nuff said.

  • Keith Urban -

    Keith Urban: Defying Gravity
One of my three favorite country artists. Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts being the other two. I tend to like country bands that are country rock crossover and especially when they have a hot guitar player.

  • Dropkick Murphys -

    Dropkick Murphys: Blackout
Ironically, I discovered these guys two years ago at the shore and I have bought a half dozen of their CDs since then. This is one I don't have. Think Irish ballad, screamo, punk rock fusion and you are about there.

  • Pat Metheny -

    Pat Metheny: One Quiet Night
I have neglected Pat for way too long. My friend Andy Wanner reminded me of this Jazz guitar phenom... I listened to him on Pandora for quite awhile the other night and decided to get one of his CDs
