In the Greek language, the word "krisis" means - decision.
A crisis is a decision making time. A crisis forces us to make a decision concerning the issues that have arisen.
In times of crisis, impulsive, unthoughtful responses are disastrous.
In times of crisis, timid, afraid to choose responses are just as deadly.
In times of crisis, to make good decisions you need to know:
Who you are - your identity and values,
Why you are here - your purpose and calling,
What you're trying to accomplish - vision and mission.
When you are centered on these things, when you have discerned and understood the issues of the moment, when you have listened to the still small voice of God and sensed His presence, then you are ready to act congruently and then trust God with the results.
