Today we are looking at Roxburgh's Missional Leader and three major metaphors of leadership that he recommends.
ONE: Leader as cross-cultural missiologist and missonary.
TWO: Leader as Environmental Architect (one who creates spiritually formative, leadership learning missional communities).
THREE: Leader as Catalytic Change Agent
Roxburgh believes that the established leadership metaphors were (maybe) sufficient for the world of Christendom and modernity, but they do not work well in post-Christendom and post-modernity.
We are living in the "in-between times." We are inbetween modernity and postmodernity. We experience all the tumultousness of that transition. It is painful to be "in-between" leadership paradigms.
It is a good group with which to process these issues.
