Here is a great idea from Seth Godin that I read a few days ago. I sent it out to a dozen or so leaders and it all spoke to them. In one way or another, they all said they have seen this dynamic in operation. For anyone who is leading an organization, or for that matter a part of one, this is a principle that is work in organizational life.
Here's a rule that's so inevitable that it's almost a law:
As an organization grows and succeeds, it sows the seeds of its own demise by getting boring. With more to lose and more people to lose it, meetings and policies become more about avoiding risk than providing joy.
Worth reflecting on. Do you see this happening in your organization.
