Here is the full video on this rigorous training program that prepares trainees for the rigorous work of being a navy diver.
Think of the discipline, the hard work, the time that is needed to reach this level of capacity!
The questions are simply:
What do you desire?
How much do you desire that thing?
How will you achieve what you desire?
The final question is always the question of - what discipline is needed to achieve what I desire and to become what I desire.
The Apostle Paul uses the technique of, "if the lesser is true, think how much more true is the great."
For Paul, the lesser is the world of physical fitness and health . . . and the greater is the realm of spiritual fitness and health.
If people will work this hard to be a navy diver . . . then . . .
. . . how much harder should leaders be willing to work to become all that God desires us to be?
. . . how much more time, energy and commitment should we invest in the spiritual journey?
In about two weeks I have a post on The Six Components of Transformative Learning that will post on the Evangelicals on the Ignatian Way blogsite.
