Fascinating analysis. I have also noticed this over the years. There are those individuals (and churches) that somehow believe that evangelism (and thus Christianity) is by in large an outward statement; following scripture, living the life, spreading the word etc. But so many of us fail to properly acknowledge or at least openly talk about the role of the spirit within us on a spiritual level. I'm slowly becoming aware that so many fellow Christ followers (not just evangelicals) have trouble understanding what I mean when I talk about my spiritual relationship with the Lord. It's so much more than how you live and the choices you make, and because it is spiritual it's very challenging to put into words, and particularly hard to get some people to comprehend it. Thanks, as always for your wonderful posts, and thoughts!
